Prince of Peace Lutheran Church was established as a Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod (LC-MS) congregation in 2016. This congregation is in affiliation with the Northwest District of the LC-MS and a preaching station of Faith Lutheran in Homer, one of 13 congregations in the state of Alaska.
Over the course of two summers, several “work and witness” teams traveled to Seldovia to make the necessary repairs which now accommodates year-round worship services. The pastor at Faith Lutheran, Homer, in the ongoing ministry in this small, resort fishing village.
At the present time, Pastor Gregory Heidorn, Faith Lutheran, conducts a worship service on the first and third Sunday of the month, as well as special services throughout the year. You can view Pastor Heidorn’s message from each Sunday, including Sunday’s where he is unable to visit Seldovia here.
